Sci-fi show from garage?

Ocean county observer – LACEY — Jason Birdsall of Forked River isn’t worried about the writers’ strike that currently is affecting Hollywood productions and limiting the current television season. His production operation is going forward and will soon be heading from Internet broadcasts to television screens.Birdsall’s company, Hermit of the Mountain LLC, is based in Forked River. He joined actors and production staff on Nov. 17 for a photo shoot that also included sets from his science fiction show “Venus Rising.”

In September, the production company enlisted engineering students from Stevens Institute of Technology, of Hoboken, to work on “Venus Rising.”
